About the Author
Disclaimer: This is off the top in my head and not really edited. If you’re going to do an ‘About the Author’ post, it might as well be this way
Every blog has one. The author is readying a post to tell you their life story. They get their hands on the keyboard. They try to capture their audience by writing something that is most likely cheesy, typical, or both.
I very well could do the same, but I’m not going to give you my life story, I’m just going to give you a little peek into who I am, and why I started this blog.
I started this blog, partially, to scream out into the ether. A place where I could write all of my insane thoughts about the musicians I love. I wasn’t aware that people would actually read it, I mean c’mon, me?
I’m a former audio major who dropped out of college, partly because I wasn’t into the “I’m better than you” mentality. I’m a musician with two decades behind the drums. I stay up depriving myself of sleep because I want to write. And I’m always the student, never the teacher. I’m just a little fish in a gigantic pond who has dreams of being the big fish.
I want to help the unsigned artist to get a following, the ones who stay up mixing to get recognition, and the ones with clear passion to get that golden goose of exposure.
As weird as this was to write, as insane as it reads, and as unconventional as an ‘About the Author’ post could be; I could just sum it up in ten words.
